Tell me why I chose to live in the allergy capital of the country for three years?

That is, after hitting Home Depot at 6am. After hitting home depot the night before and then realizing that the coupling was too long and that I'd have to dig out and expose more pipe. And after digging the hole and cutting the pipe, realizing i had a 1/2" telescoping coupling and needed 3/4" and Home Depot was already closed. Then after I finally had the right parts, it started pouring as I was re-cutting the PVC, so I had to drag out a plastic table to work under while cementing the PVC fittings. But the water is back on now. Hopefully it holds.

Mano a mano

I have come to discover that you can tell a lot about me by the condition of my hands. If my nails are long and manicured, then you will know that I am happy with my life. I remember the last time I looked down and saw happiness. As I examine myself through this lense I see worn fingers, torn cuticles, and nails of various lengths. I see imperfections. I see that it's time for some changes.

Isn't it though?

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines irony as:
: incongruity between a situation developed in a drama and the accompanying words or actions that is understood by the audience but not by the characters in the play —called also dramatic irony, tragic irony

I feel that perhaps someone has written a story, I am a character in said story, and I just don't get it. My life is full of irony right now and you know what? It blows. I don't know what to do except to make the most horrible decision possible. Pet strange dogs? Why not! Run out into traffic? Of course! Let someone in who is leaving? Check! And double check! Why is it that even though I can see the end, I still make the decision? Stupidity is doing the same thing and expecting different results. Do I really think this is not going to bite me in the ass? More importantly... do I care?

I submit that I do not.
